Troppo Rapido? Moi?

Eh... so I had a very nice conversation with the Luxembourgish Police last week:

'TobytheTeacher, although your driving is tiptop, we would prefer it if you did not drive at nearly double the speed limit.'

To which I replied, 'You think I should drive faster?'

'No. Perhaps slower.'

'But Mr Policeman, what about all the drink driving in Luxembourg?' I asked innocently.

'Ah but TobytheTeacher', he replied wisely, 'Bofferding helps you to drive better.'

'But Mr Policeman', I countered confused, 'if you fine me lots of money for driving too fast, how will I buy Bofferding?'

'Ah but TobytheTeacher that is why Bofferding is so cheap, so even after we have fined your hundreds and hundreds of euros for driving too fast, you can still buy more Bofferding.'

'Genius.'

'Twas a fair cop. I was doing 98 past the airport (a 50 zone). It was one of those magical moments in life when you know you're completely f**ked. And that the only thing you can do is hold your hands up and say 'yep, you got me.'

I think the licence is safe... I think it'll just be a whooping fine and uber-points of my licence!!!

Which means I'm gonna have to drive like I'm driving a golf cart for the next two or three years!!!!

Damn it!!!! A plague on everyone's house!!!!

speeding...tisk tisk tisk...
so how many points do you begin with?? we have 12 here in good ol wisconsin...at one time some years ago...before i moved to louisiana...i only had 2 points left on my license... oops...speeding...yes yes...but i do believe after a few years of a clean record....you get your points back...

but in louisiana...they don't have a point system there...you just keep driving no matter what...and i do believe some of those people there should not have been allowed to drive...perhaps they do need a point system..they have some ridiculous drivers there for sure..hey...at least they test the cars there to be sure they are safe to be driving on the roads....hmmm....cuz ya know...it's usually the cars that cause the problems...and not the drivers...;)
